Math - Trick Shot Challenge! Follow this link and watch the video youtu.be/VRJmcxCrAOA
Pretty Amazing, Right?! But we all assume that they didn't get any of these right on the first try, so the question is, how many tries does it take on Average? (and how many busted bags of garbage did they have to clean up??) You are going to set up a series of your own "trick shots" (Please make sure they are approved by a parent first!). 1. come up with 3-10 different "shots" 2. shoot till you make it! Keep track of the number of attempts it takes you to make one. 3. Repeat for each shot you came up with. Remember to keep track of how many attempts it takes! 4. Take the number of attempts for each shot and add them all up. Then divide by the number of different shots you tried. This will give you the "mean" or the average. 5. Post a video at flipgrid.com/coachjohnson102 of you making a shot and report the average number of attempts it took to make a trick shot! 6. For an extra challenge, find the median (middle number when they are listed in order from least to greatest) and mode (number that appears most often) of you data set (the number of attempts each shot took before you made it).
For extra help with Mean, Median and Mode, watch this video: youtu.be/h8EYEJ32oQ8
